oh, boy!

Not much to post about tonight. I just got home from Baileys with some people from the fish market! I let them in on a little secret of mine, and I hope they won't go tellin' everyone (even though they probably will) We had a few beers and chit-chatted about random stuff it was cool, good time! Thanks for the beer Timmy!

I would like to point out something that makes me really mad. This is a topic I will probably touch on pretty often, seeing that I am a woman and all of us ladies obsess over this one. MEN. listen up boys, I need to get something straight with you. Too many times have I come across a guy that I can play the game with just as well, and we go back and fourth pretending that our "relationship" is nothing but a piece of cake, friends that hang out/hook up or whatever situation. I can not come to fathom why guys always need to be so indecisive and fickle. One minute, they want you, the next you're too clingy, when you give them their space, they wonder why you aren't calling. ENOUGh with the games people. I can definitely understand that at the beginning of any romance, is a love game, as my love lady gaga would call it. It all starts with a seductive, flirtatious, mysterious game or chase. But, I'm sorry, after a month or so, it gets irritating, and obviously, guys, you aren't that great at taking the bigger step and coming out and saying 'hey, I like you, this isn't just a game for me'. Well, most of you don't do it cuz, to you, it is just a game, but be straight up about it. If you aren't interested in more than just a piece of ass, TELL US. Most girls won't even get involved with you, some will try to change you, and some will be perfectly okay with it. Just let us know so that we know what we are getting ourselves into! it works much better in the long run and that way we wont be crying in 2 months wondering why you would rather go to the gym than see us! make sense? k cool.

my apologies, that kind of turned into a ramble/venting session. Good night everyone! I'll try and make a more interesting post tomorrow! 2 auditions and work at the salon and the fish market! don't know how I'm gonna get through the day, but I'll def. let you know how it goes!

LOVE you!

Kanye? WTF were you thinking?

He is an idiot for ruining Taylor's moment. There is simply no other way to put it or nothing else that needs to be said. I don't know what I would have done if that were me! Poor Taylor! But since Kanye apologized, lets leave it to alcohol for making you act out in inappropriate and disrespectful ways, hopefully kanye stays off the henny at the next awards ceremony!!

On another note, I give mad props to Beyonce for sharing her moment with Taylor in return. It was very sweet of her.

R.I.P. Patrick Swayze. :( Who's next? everyone is dying these days!

I'm Back!

After over a year and a half of absence from my blog, I decided I wanted to start posting again. hooray! I don't know how long this will last, mostly because I doubt anyone reads my blog and/or cares about what I have to say, but, none-the-less, I figure it is a good way to sort of keep a diary and vent or talk about what I'm feeling...

Still being the night owl that I am, I am thinking about what to post, or write about, and the only thing I keep thinking about is just how much has changed in the last 18 months.
  • I had and broke up with a boyfriend whom I dated for a good 10 months. He moved to Miami for grad school and I still miss and think of him everyday.
  • I moved into an apt. with my girlies for the 08-09 school year. It was insane and a LOT of partying
  • hence, when the lease was up, I decided to take a semester off of school and move back in with my parents in Farmington Hills
  • the film industry has come to MI and I am extremely excited to become a part of it. mark my words, i WILL be famous.
  • I got a new kitty and a new pup! big mac is my scrumptious little muffin of a kitty cat and I love him dearly. Kita is my rascal of a puppy and she devours everything I own, but who can stay mad at the face of a pretty husky!
  • I work at Mitchell's Fish Market
  • I am almost 2 years older and much, much wiser.
  • I have a twitter account. twitter.com/jennjade
  • I have gotten back in touch with several old friends who I love and have missed!
  • I assist at a salon for Chrystal Boji and I love working for her and learning about doing hair
  • I have entirely different dreams and I have no idea where I'll be in the future, but I know what I want right now and I'm doing everything in my power to get it
  • I'm still a night owl, but I can now wake up before noon without a problem! wahoo!
  • I gained about 15 lbs. :(
  • I chopped off all my hair and now it sits right above my collar bones.
I'm sure there is much more I forgot, but that seems to be the main things I remember changing. Aside from that, I am SO eager to start blogging again and have an odd urge to write. hopefully I can keep things interesting and have nice topics to blog about!

Happy Valentines Day....

This whole week I have been dreading the single most loneliest day of the year; Valentines Day. Every female in this world wants nothing more than love and affection from the perfect man. To make you feel amazing, like you truly know you are deep inside. Well ladies, these men DO NOT exist, simply because while they have the same physical attribute of a brain- they don't think nearly as deeply and hard as we do. Surprisingly, they are entirely TOO simple, which is why we can not understand them- we make it so much more complicated than it really is.

I sat up with a friend of mine last night, yes, a boy-friend. When i mentioned V-day his exact words were "I don't believe in Valentines day, since when does giving a girl flowers or candy justify his feelings for her? Just being with her and spending time with her should be enough" and I have to admit, i agree. but why is it that we are in such need of acknowledgement from the opposite sex, we don't feel pretty or whole unless a man tells us how beautiful we are. How dumb are we? We should by no means wait for someone else to tell us how beautiful we are. My new years resolution this year was to lose ten pounds. which i still intend on doing, but i would like to change my main goal to finding fulfillment and happiness within myself, because that is the only way i will truly be complete. ponder this....

loves and hugs. i hope you have a valentine, and if you dont you should love yourself how you want *him* to love you.

So i have decided I am absolutely horrible at keeping up with blogs. I'm just to lazy and honestly, I'm not really that full of things to talk about... so here goes.

Yesterday I watched someone snort drugs up their nose for the first time in my entire life. I can't get myself to understand why or how this person got involved in such behavior but I never expected it. CRAZY. that shit is seriously just so dirty and nasty, and WHY would you want to snort things up your nose like thinking about it makes me want to sneeze and itch. ew. period

I am in need of a little trip. Spring Break is march 1-9 and seriously, I have heard enough raving excitement out of MSU students all hype for Acapulco. :-( cousins, AZ time? LA time? any place other than MI? PLEASE? lol I am going back to NYC after spring break for Shannon's 21st, but still, I need somewhere warm to remind me how much I love summer. And, I miss the ocean.

Tuesday, I got tickets to the Funny Or Die comedy tour hosted by Will Ferrell. HILARIOUS. I took Jeff for his birthday and a couple of my girlfriends joined us. it was seriously a blast. Nick Swardson is absolutely amazing at stand-up, he might even be as funny as Dane Cook. It was a great show- and here are some jokes I enjoyed..

"If you don't know the difference between a spoon and a ladle, YOU'RE FAT" -Demetri Martin

"Onion rings are like a team, until you take the first bite and the onion part is like 'fuck it I'm goin'"- Nick Swardson

(if you don't know, Nick Swardson was in the movie I now Pronounce you Chuck and Larry he played Jessica Biel's gay brother.)

There were a million more but I'm drawing blanks! seriously, Youtube Nick Swardson OR go by his comedy CD called Party- number 1 comedy Cd in the nation!

COLLEGE

Today I started my classes for the spring semester. I am taking the following:
Japanese 2
Trig
Criminal Justice
Integrative Social Studies- Society & the mind

I changed my classes a million times but I finally think these are going to work out! I have ISS with Jess, and supposedly our professor is supposed to be the worst of the worst, but hopefully we can get through it. Japanese looks like its going to be tough... my four years is no longer going to help me ease through the class considering we are no longer allowed to speak in english unless asking... in Japanese. Trig sounds easy and I took calculus in h/s so... should be fine. anywho, I'm hoping to do a lot better this semester than I did last, and bring my gpa up!

Yesterday I saw PS I Love You. I cried like a baby and a group full of ten sorority girls were literally sobbing in front of us.. but really, it was so sad! to even imagine losing the love of your life at such a young age is mind boggling, I hope no one has to go through that.

I also managed to fall asleep at 7pm today hoping to take a short nap, which turned into a 6 hour nap... and now I'm wondering if I am going to be able to fall back asleep.... probably not.

I have a billion errands to run tomorrow which hopefully I will be able to get some of them done, considering I have class until 7. This blog was kind of pointless, but oh well! Have a nice night, Y'alllll.

happy new year, i think?

So a new year is supposed to be time for a new start... it is January 6th, 2008, and i have managed to.
1. get a FLAT tire
2. end a relationship that I thought might be something good.
3. catch the flu
4. stay up until it actually reached daylight, no really, 8 am and i'm STILL not asleep.

So what is it that makes a new YEAR a good time for a new START? I might seem pessimistic, but honestly, does anything really change with a new year? do you really get a new start? because the way i see it, everything from 2007 just kind of dragged onto 2008... nothing new happened. the only new thing i have in my life is a set of bills due and a new schedule for the spring semester, which, mind you i am NOT looking forward to 9am classes.

I go back to MSU tomorrow... and besides the whole school part, I'm actually glad to be heading back. I miss the lovely miss Gina, my roomie, and now Jess is moving up which means my best friend in the WORLD will be there.. even though its something I have refused to admit, I hated living in east lansing last semester, it was horrible! mainly because of guys and positions i put myself in, but still! i didn't have my best friends there and now, well thats going to change :)

sidenote: Go see JUNO! it was seriously the best movie I have seen in a while, if you like dry humor, this one is for you!
